Ah, Saint Patrick’s Day is upon us once again. Having zero Irish blood in my veins, I never had much reason to celebrate this holiday. I do recall way back when I was a professional photographer, I got to shoot the downtown Saint Paul, MN Saint Patrick’s Day Parade and it was a riot. Green as far as the eye could see, green cotton candy, green snacks, green beer, green hair, green dogs, green EVERYTHING.
Celebrating Saint Patrick’s isn’t just about getting drunk and acting a fool while painting the town green. It’s about celebrating Irish history and heritage. One of the many ways this celebration can be had is through food. There are a few ingredients that are telltale Irish fare ingredients, but none are more prominent than corned beef and cabbage. So what I wanted to do here is put together a list of recipes from around the interwebs, and share them with you all. Don’t forget to post a story about your favorite Saint Patrick’s Day outing, recipe or tale of tomfoolery.
